At the east end of the trail, it continues onto a east-west powerline trail that connects to a north-south powerline trail that you can take north for a bit to get onto Piney Creek Rd.

At the west end of the trail there's an equestrian trail that will take you south to Homestead Hills road. The reservoir on the map is flood control only and almost always completely dry.
